Week beginning 20th January
This coming weekend is the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch. Throughout the week, the children will be finding out about garden birds, where they live, what they like to eat, and their identifying features.
The children will all be making their own feeders to take home and hang outdoors. Once dried, you should be able to remove the food from the paper cups should you wish. Small circle time will involve a memory game of British birds, the children will be spotting and listening to the birds in the bird hide and some will go out on a bird walk. We will all be enjoying bird rhymes.
There will be tally charts, clipboards and binoculars for everyone to use as we spot birds and record which ones we have seen. The Discoverers' word of the week is soar.
The Explorers' rhyme is Little Robin Redbreast.
